Cookies and Local Storage

Last updated: 2026-10-29

TravelHistoryTool uses necessary browser storage to keep the tool working between visits. There is no account or sign-in. We use cookie-free site statistics and do not run advertisements or use Google Analytics.

What we save in your browser

Your browser's localStorage keeps your trip list and edits so you can continue working with them. It also keeps your unlock code for access to purchased exports and your email address for delivery. These are the local storage uses needed for the tool; they are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

LocalStorage is different from a cookie: its contents are not automatically attached to every web request. When you ask for a server action, the tool sends the information needed for it, such as your list to create a PDF, your unlock code to use an export, or your email address for delivery. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How long local data stays

The saved list, edits, unlock code and email remain until you or your browser clear the site's data. Local storage does not have a cookie-style expiry date. Private browsing, browser cleanup or storage limits may remove it sooner.

We cannot see or restore a working list stored only in your browser. Save any PDF you need to keep. A PDF hosted for download is deleted after 24 hours, independently of what is saved on your device.

Cookie-free analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics provides overall visit and performance statistics without cookies or localStorage for analytics. It does not track individual visitors. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security and payment services

Cloudflare Turnstile checks requests to help prevent automated abuse. IP-based rate limiting through Upstash is a server-side protection, not an advertising tracker.

When you visit Waffo or PayPal to pay, their payment pages are covered by their own privacy and cookie notices. The description of localStorage on this page concerns TravelHistoryTool; it does not describe every storage technology used on a payment provider's site.

Your browser controls

Use your browser's site-data settings to remove data for travelhistorytool.com. Removing only cookies may leave localStorage in place, so choose the setting that also clears site storage. This deletes your local list and edits as well as the saved unlock code and email.

Blocking local storage can stop the tool from remembering this information between visits. Clearing browser data does not delete server-side order records or cancel unused exports. To ask about those records, email support@travelhistorytool.com. We reply within 24 hours.
